VLT
COMPACT
CLIMBER
HIGHLIGHT |
|
|
| |
Greetings from Marpo Kinetics!
This month, we are excited to bring you updates on our VLT
Compact Climber. We have recently introduced a highly
anticipated and often requested accessory for the VLT and
we've got some information about ADA compliance and
benefits, as well as a customer spotlight on how VLT is
being used in fitness programs for the disabled members. |

VLT
PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION |
| |
|
|
|
Due
to its light, compact frame, VLT users could not
always achieve optimal reverse-pull workouts.
Pulling the rope up from a standing position
resulted in some users lifting the machine off the
ground. The new, integrated foot platform eliminates
this problem and allows VLT users to expand their
workouts with addition of several exercises
previously not available on the VLT.
The platform easily integrates with any VLT unit.
Simply slide it over the front foot of the unit and
it's ready to go! Now, when you remove the seat and
exercise standing, simply stand on the platform and
you will be able to pull the rope up without the
unit rocking or lifting up.
Try it with biceps curls or with reverse-pull
squats. These exercises were previously possible
only on the bigger V250 model. See exercise video
here. |

ADA COMPLIANCE BENEFITS |
| |
ADA stands for the Americans with
Disabilities Act. The Americans with Disabilities Act
requires facilities to provide equal access and opportunity
to persons with disabilities. This includes those in
wheelchairs. Did
you know that you can get tax credit (not just a deduction)
of up to $5,125 for purchasing equipment to comply with ADA.
Marpo Kinetics VLT Compact Climber would qualify in most
areas.
The amount of the credit is 50% of the amount
of eligible access expenditures for a year that exceed $250
but do not exceed $10,250.

FACILITY SPOTLIGHT - THE
GOODWILL FITNESS CENTER FOR THE DISABLED |
| |
| |
The Goodwill recently
opened a new fitness center in Santa Ana, CA
specifically designed for people with disabilities.
Having tried Marpo Kinetics rope climbers at IHRSA,
they decided on 3 units - 2 VLT compact climbers and
one VMX multi-mode climber.
All three units are used for cardio and strength
training workouts.
The response has been very positive, according to
the fitness director, Elizabeth Toumajian. "It is an
accessible and versatile machine that really stands
out. Some members are tired of using the
same old machines. Rope climbers provide effective
functional exercises to people with any fitness
level. Club members and trainers love the machines." |
